Cellulitis of Lower Limb in a Diabetic Patient treated with Re Cell Heal: A Case Report

 Cellulitis is a bacterial infection in the deeper layers of skin and the fat and soft tissue underneath.A 46-year-old male presented to the Emergency Department (ER) with complains of left foot pain, erythema, foul-smelling drainage, swelling of great toe, tenderness, local warmth and malaise. The patient has past medical history of poorly controlled diabetes mellitus type-2 (HbA1c = 8.9%) 12 years back, CVA 6 years back, Paralysis 10 years back, Tuberculosis 4 years back and he had been using alcohol regularly. Patient presents as a blisters, edema, inflammation and purulent discharge from great toe of left foot, presence of erythema (Cellulites extending more than 2cm around the ulcer), mild great saphenous varicose veins in leg with incompetent below knee, calf and above ankle perforators. Cultures revealed Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes. Cellulitis was diagnosed in left foot, abscess in plantar aspect of foot.
