Pharyngoplasty uses in the Treatment of Sleep Apnea

In sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome (SAHS) a superior airway collapse can occur in the anteroposterior or lateral direction. Pharyngoplasty careful strategies attempt to improve parallel breakdown by repositioning the muscles that establish the pharyngeal sidelong divider, mostly the palatopalatopharyngeal (PP), palatoglossal (PG) and upper constrictor (UC).
