Predicting The Potential Geographic Distribution of Crofton Weed (Ageratina adenophora) Around The World Using Maxent Modeling

Croftonweed is considered a worldwide noxious invasive species with a large distribution around the world. In this investigation, we will predict its potential geographic distribution using maximum entropy (Maxent) modeling. The current 515 locations of croftonweed were collected through the Herbarium, articles and websites. The resulting prediction was shown to be robust with large area under the curve (AUC = 0.996 for training data and 0.987 for test data), and the species map was presented to show the potential geographic distribution of croftonweed. From the results, many countries and regions in Africa, America, Asia, Europe, and Oceania have the potential geographic distribution of croftonweed, and all the invasive risk districts of croftonweed was listed in detail in the tables. These countries were divided into two risk categories, and the local people should take measures on the invasion of this species according to different conditions. The results aim to help the management of the invasion and to eliminate or reduce the negative impacts of this species, and local biodiversity and economy problems may be avoided practically....
