Hormonally Active Adrenocortical Oncocytic Carcinoma Presenting with Hirsutism and Amenorrhea: A Rare Case Report and Literature Review

Thirty-seven year old female, referred to our Urology Service from Internal Medicine and General Surgery for an assessment of an injury to the left adrenal gland. The injury was discovered incidentally by abdominal imaging, as the patient had been suffering from amenorrhoea and hypertrichosis for over a year. The patient also referred to a tingling sensation in the face and neck and to occasional headaches and blurred vision, as well as weight loss during this time period. The exploration showed widespread oedema, more pronounced on the lower limbs, a marked distribution of hair over the abdomen, chest, arms, and legs, and erythematous rashes on the chest, forearms and abdomen..
