Sahar Tavakoli Shiraji, Elham Mirzaean, and Mahdieh Mahmoudzadeh

This report documents a 55-year-old woman with a history of ovarian cancer, which presented as vertigo 11 months after completion of treatment for the primary tumor. The imaging revealed a single cerebellar mass. She underwent complete surgical resection. The pathologic examination was morphologically compatible with metastasis from ovarian  adenocarcinoma but immunohistochemical markers in favor of ovarian cancer were negative suggesting a dedifferentiation of tumor cells. Positron emission tomography scan was negative for any evidence of extracranial disease. Subsequently she received a whole brain radiation therapy followed by chemotherapy and is now in remission 11 months after surgery.
