Sepideh Peyvandi, Marzieh Zamaniyan, Zahra Rahmani and Sedighe Hoseini

In this study, we describe a rare case of Hydatid cyst in pregnancy. Our objective is to emphasize on the noninvasive and exceptional management of uncomplicated Hydatid cyst during the pregnancy. Hydatid cysts may persist asymptomatic for several years and be diagnosed incidentally by ultrasound during pregnancy. Although the majority of pregnant women with Hydatid cyst undergo unnecessary surgery, cysts with acute symptoms need emergency intervention. We recommend conservative fallow-up of asymptomatic patients with Hydatid cyst during pregnancy after individualization and accounting to the benefits and disadvantages of surgery to the mother and her fetus.
